The Youth Programs of the Workforce Development Board include education and training opportunities for Youth ages 18-21.

  • Youth On-The-Job Training – Prepares youth for a variety of careers by working with local employers to provide training and the essential skills necessary to succeed in today’s job market.
  • Youth Education and Training – Provides financial assistance to youth who would like to continue their education in an approved field. Assistance is available for both degree and certificate programs for youth who meet eligibility criteria.

The NCWorks Career Centers also offers a variety of services to youth, including access to GED classes, basic skills assessments, National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), career interest surveys, and career guidance information. All NCWorks Career Workshops, such as resume writing and interviewing, are also available to youth.
