This position will guide participants across multi-sector services through increased understanding and knowledge of the available resources provided as part of “WNC Recovery to Career” with a focus on the eleven counties in Western North Carolina. The INspire Recovery to Work “WNC Recovery to Career” project is a $1.0+ million, three-year initiative funded by Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Dogwood Health Trust (DHT) and Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC). This project will assist individuals with substance use disorders connect with employment, education and training while maintaining sobriety.

Aging Program Specialist, COVID-19 Outreach

Starting Salary - $46,707

Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Aging Specialist. Primary duties will include collaborating with existing organizations to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates in the region among homebound older adults, implementing a marketing and outreach plan, and connecting individuals with a local vaccinator upon request.

Money Follows the Person (MFP) Community Inclusion Specialist

Senior Companion Program (SCP) Support Specialist 

Position - Part TIme 
Starting Salary - $20/hour, 20 hours per week

Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior Companion Program Support Specialist. Successful candidate will have supervisory experience working with volunteers, preferably older adult volunteers; strong communication skills for community engagement; ability to work independently in remote access environment; and a strong commitment to older adults. Primary duties will include: data entry; recruitment of new volunteers; and co-leading training for new volunteers and monthly in-service training for volunteers. This is a remote position but will require two days a month in the office.
