Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior Companion Program Caregiver Manager with primary duties to recruit, manage and place volunteers, age 55 and better, in settings with family caregivers to help them care for their loved ones and help their loved ones remain in their homes; manage AmeriCorps Seniors grants and budgets; and provide extensive pre-service and ongoing training. Work requires sound judgement, initiative, decision-making, problem-solving, excellent organizational and communication skills along with the ability to interpret and apply public policies and grant regulations to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance.

INspire Peer Support Specialist - Cherokee Indian Hospital

Position – Full Time with Benefits 
Starting Salary - $41,808

Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Cherokee Indian Hospital Peer Support Specialist. Under general direction and supervision of the Peer Support Services Director, the Peer Support Specialist will guide participants across multi-sector services through increased understanding and knowledge of the available resources provided as part of Cherokee Indian Hospital Recovery to Career with a focus on Jackson, Swain, and Graham county areas in Western North Carolina. The Cherokee Indian Hospital Recovery to Career project is a partnership between NCDHHS, Land of Sky Regional Council and The Cherokee Indian Hospital. This project will assist individuals with substance use disorders to connect with employment, education and training while maintaining sobriety. Performs other duties as required.
