Professional Experience

Linda has been dedicated to building communities that are responsive to the needs and contributions of older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers for over 30 years. During her career, she has worked for health care organizations, state and local governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations in Minnesota, Oregon, Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina.

Awards and Honors

Linda was elected Chair of the Buncombe County Aging Coordinating Consortium in 2012 and Vice Chair of the United Way Health Focus Work Group in 2013. She was selected as a panelist in the 2010 NC Governor’s Round Table and over the years, has made numerous presentations to local, state and national audiences on aging, disability and family caregiving issues – most recently at the National Lifespan Respite Conference in Boston, MA in October 2013.


Among her current roles, she coordinates the Land of Sky Community Resource Connections (CRC) and Buncombe County Aging Plan. She also works on several state projects including the NC Lifespan Respite Grant through the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services and the Money Follows the Person demonstration project through the NC Division of Medical Assistance.
