Blue Ridge Bicycle Club -- www.blueridgebicycleclub.org
The BRBC advocates safe and enjoyable cycling of all types in Western North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Bicycle Club promotes recreational bicycling by leading weekly bicycle rides, providing skill clinics, and promoting family rides. The BRBC also improves public awareness of cyclists by serving the community with advocacy activities and monthly trail maintenance.

Asheville Area Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force An organization of volunteers, loosely associated with the City of Asheville, Buncombe County, and the French Broad River MPO whose mission is to: educate the public about bicycle and pedestrian transportation; advocate for the development and maintenance of safe, convenient and inter-connected facilities; and promote the benefits of walking and bicycling for individual and community health.

As a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Quality Forward is a non-profit organization of concerned volunteers dedicated to creating a clean and green Buncombe County. Since 1976, Quality Forward has promoted anti-litter, recycling, pedestrian and planting efforts through grassroots activities, school programs and public awareness. The Carolina Mountain Club was organized to foster the enjoyment of the mountains through hiking and to encourage the conservation of our natural resources. This purpose is achieved primarily through an extensive schedule of hikes and a program of trail building and maintenance.
Asheville Amblers 828-687-1004 Asheville Amblers is a non-profit organization devoted to finding wonderful places to walk. They host events which combine non-competitive walks with social activities for the whole family to enjoy. All events and activities are open to everyone of all ages.
